This workshop will focus upon how to apply tai chi exercises for people living with chronic conditions, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis and stroke recovery. We will look at what each condition naturally has in common, how we can use tai chi to build confidence among the individuals, and how the exercises can help when your participants are experiencing stiffness, weakness, loss of balance, or delays in coordination.
Jef, a former Wall Street executive, has been a student of Taoist internal training for many years. His 20 years of tai chi practice with individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and stroke recovery, has given him valuable understanding.
His classes begin with most participants in wheel chairs, using canes and walkers, and doing TCA chair practice. Most progress to being able to stand and practice the walking forms.
